Babies and Children

All children need to have photographs taken of themselves for the future. These photo records will be something for them to look back on to when they are grown and have families to share their life and history.

MILESTONES – Babies 1st Year Program

There is no time in a child’s life when they change more than their first year. They go from completely dependent tiny beings that fit into the crook of your arm, through the rolling over phase, sitting up, standing, and sometimes even walking.
Record your baby’s first year in portraits.

Program includes three portrait sessions, (your choice of newborn (3 to 7 days), 3, 6, 9 or 12 months). With each session you will receive an 8×10 print. At baby’s first birthday you will receive a 10×20 composite featuring your favorite portrait from each session, and a CD slide show. This is a perfect gift for that special mother.

At 3 or 4 months – The key to this session is baby’s ability to prop themselves up on their forearms and keep their head up for an extended amount of time. If baby hasn’t achieved this milestone, you might want to push the session back a bit.

The key to the 6-8 month session is baby sitting up unassisted (and hopefully not crawling yet). You want baby to be able to fully sit up (not in tripod stance) and be well balanced.

9 months – you will want to make sure that baby is able to stand at the 9 month session holding on to something. Again, what we are trying to show is the milestones of development throughout the year of your baby.

1 year – If you have not done a 9 month session (opting for more of the 4, 8, 12 plan) this is the session that you will want to take standing photos. This is also a fabulous time to do “smash cake” photos to document that first birthday. Those are always a lot of fun.
